Kumon Eastleigh Study Centre

Kumon Eastleigh Study Centre

The Crestwood College for Business Shakespeare Road, Eastleigh ,
Kumon offers more than private tuition. The aim is not just to prepare children for passing an exam or catching up with school work. The goal is to nurture confident, independent learners, children who will be prepared to meet challenges in school and beyond. Thus, study programmes are tailored to meet individual needs. Many of the students who study kumon have been attending centres for several years and continue to reap the benefits. The Eastleigh Kumon Centre provides a very personalised service to all students, who come from virtually all the schools in the surrounding area: primary, secondary, state and private. Progress does not depend upon age, so if younger students (as young as 3) have the ability, they can move through the worksheet based programme swiftly and ahead of school, thus avoiding boredom and frustration. Equally less confident children who are struggling at school, can progress at a pace to suit, the common aim is to make all students fluent in both maths and English so that they achieve their long term educational aims. The centre is managed by Reena Sekhon who has been focusing on the educational services market for many years. A dedicated team work alongside Reena to ensure that every student feels supported. A full two hour assessment takes place before any student enrols on the programme. Not every child will be accepted into the centre. Only those families which show commitment to a child's study and progress will be invited to continue. Commitment is of the utmost importance because children studying the Kumon programmes complete a small piece of work every day. Once or twice a week, the work will be completed at the study centre, in conjunction with other practical activities which develop maths and English skills.
