La Cachette opened in 1996 in Elland on the site of Berties bistro, relocating in 2002 to our current site at, 31 Huddersfield Road. The name La Cachette means "Hiding place". It has a literal translation in French 19th century furniture making, a La Cachette being a secret spring loaded drawer, often found in high quality deveaus and the like.
Hidden way in the heart of Elland, La Cachette is easily accessible from Halifax and Huddersfield and just 3 minutes off the M62, providing good links to most of West Yorkshire, East Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
