J&B specialise in creating stylish and loud speaking Casual Shirt designs, as well as high-end Formal Evening wear. All our shirts have been hand cut and hand sewn on premises with utmost care to detail. We prize traditional knowledge and techniques in constructing our shirts. There is no corner cutting in our shirt construction and all seams are single-needle stitched. No mass production machinery is used to seal any seams. Our collars are made from the finest fabrics and fillings available. We derive our methods from early 1900's traditional construction, and each and every collar is hand-stitched in our tailoring workshop. Detachable collars may be categorised in two ways: - Low-stand: These are low lying collars that only require one collar stud to attach them to a shirt at the centre-front fastening. Most off-the-rack shirts have low-stand collars. - High-stand: These are collars that ride higher up the neck. They often, but not always, have two stud holes at centre-front: the lower one is to fasten the collar to the shirt at centre-front and upper one, 1/2" or so above, is to keep the top of the collar closed.
