Facts and Figures Have you ever wondered how radio stations can tell how many people are listening to them - well we subscribe to the industry company RAJAR (RAJAR stands for Radio Joint Audience Research) it is the official body in charge of measuring radio audiences in the UK. The current system selects participants who are asked to complete a listening diary for one week. Diaries are placed in households for 50 weeks of the year excluding the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Generally speaking only one person is asked to do this per household and quotas are set to ensure the best possible demographic represantation of the area.
