Since opening in 1990, the Hadleigh Training Centre has worked with a number of organisations, including local authorities and the job centre, with the main aim of training people with special educational needs in contemporary subjects such as IT skills, carpentry, and life skills. Since then, the centre has rapidly expanded in both the numbers of staff and trainees. At the centre, we try to create a hard-working but fun and relaxed atmosphere. As well as the range of contemporary subjects on offer, we also teach the life skills that are vital for a trainee to function both in the workplace and in everyday life. These include working to a structured day, proper and improper behaviour, motivation, and a strong work ethic. However, we also look to offer so much more to our trainees. Many of our clients come to us in times of hardship and trouble in their lives. We offer them support from our experienced staff, some of whom started as trainees. We also try to encourage the trainees to support each other and work as a team, which they're always happy to do. They are supportive and enthusiastic, which shows in their achievements, the quality of their work and how far they progress on a personal level.

After attending dance classes for twelve years and gaining GCSE and A level dance with A grades, Leanne successfully auditioned for a place at Stella Mann College in London to which she was awarded a full dance and drama scholarship (DADA) for the three year course. Leanne graduated from Stella Mann College with ISTD Associate teaching qualifications, Advanced 2 Tap and Modern, Advanced 1 Ballet and a National Diploma in Professional Dance as validated by Trinity College London. Leanne is also qualified to teach Zumba Fitness classes. Leanne has gone on to teach in numerous schools such as Highgate Ballet School and LaFour London teaching ISTD, RAD and Cecchetti exam grades with a 100% pass rate. Some of her past students have gone on to study with the Royal Ballet Junior Associate Programme. She has also choreographed for many shows at venues such as the "Lakeside Theatre", Wivenhoe and the "Central School of Speech and Drama", London. She has also taught classes at the prestigious Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden. Leanne currently works for both Colne Bank School of Dancing, Wivenhoe and Pas De Deux Studios in Harwich teaching Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz to Advanced levels and Zumba Fitness as well as running The Suffolk School of Dance, Hadleigh. She also runs Adult Tap dancing classes in Brightlingsea, Essex. Leanne holds a fully enhanced CRB check.
