Original Goal : Development company for Strong AI, for the design and construction of Strong AI prototype stage, followed by its programming and training to bring it to full sentience and self awareness. This is a process that is likely to take 10 to 20 years and work is currently on hold. All work on AI project is currently ceased until a suitable and sufficiently safe environment can be constructed. It is now expected that a Strong AI can not be constructed safely without about $1 billion. Unfortunately an unsafe construction could cost as little as a few hundred dollars and since the safety risk cannot be bounded work is now on permanent hiatus.
Strong AI is one of the most important inventions in the last one hundred years - on a par with development of the computer or mains electricity or the car or the internet. It has the power to transform everything in society positively but its misuse has as much potential destructive power as the Atomic bomb.
