It all began in 1987 in a little shop in Henley on Thames. At the time we sold new and antique pine artefacts. Upon realising a need for good storage and shelving options we created a line of hand crafted shelves, coat racks and other products. All of our products are made by hand at our workshop in Henley using Redwood Pine and traditional construction techniques. Our products feature house, glued and pinned joints; screwed and doweled where appropriate. We offer made-to-order, top quality products to suit your needs. There has been an Oxfam shop in Henley for 50 years. At present there are 2 shops: the Oxfam Standard Shop (selling clothing, accessories, homeware, toys, linen, new products) and Oxfam Books & Music at 14 Duke St, RG9 1UP. This is the Facebook page for the Standard Shop. Our opening hours are: 9-5pm Monday to Friday, 9.15-5pm Sat, 10.30-4pm Sun. To volunteer - pick up an application form instore. Our volunteers work 4 hour shifts, 9-1pm or 1-5pm. To donate - there is a loading bay right in front of the shop. We are very grateful for clean, quality womens/mens/childrenswear, shoes, belts, handbags, scarves, hats, jewellery, homeware, bric a brac, china, antiques, collectibles, paintings, curtains, bedsheets, table linen, toys, unwanted gifts. Sorry, we cannot accept furniture or electricals.
