The HR Dept (Herefordshire)
Sandy Green from Harewood End is working with businesses across Ross-on-Wye; Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury and Bromyard, from those employing one member of staff to those with several hundred employees.
Sandy, a fully qualified Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, brings over twenty-five years’ HR experience and expertise to her business. Now she is offering her skills and experience to employers across the region, providing local and personal advice tailored to helping her clients prevent “people problemsâ€.
“With experience in working across a very broad range of sectors I don’t think there are many HR situations I haven’t seen, and my role is to understand the problem and quickly and easily find a solution. Clients can tap into our professional expertise and advice and use our services as often or as little as they need.â€
Sandy says local employers’ biggest headaches include fears of being taken to tribunals, managing sickness absence and knowing how to deal with performance and keep employees on track. She is also concerned that many businesses who use the services of self-employed contractors don’t understand the strict rules and definitions of the Inland Revenue of what constitutes “self-employedâ€- and the implications if they don’t pass muster.
“With an advice line for telephone support, an insurance policy which protects employers from tribunals provided our advice is followed and the backing of the nationwide HR Dept team, alongside my local knowledge of the local business environment, I think we have a very different HR service to offer businesses in this area.â€
