Beaconsfield High School is a girls' grammar school in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. It is a Foundation School, which takes girls from the age of 11 through to the age of 18. In order to gain admission into Beaconsfield High School; students from Buckinghamshire primary schools are required to take the 11+ examination and score an average of 121/141 across both exams, although students who score in the region of 117 will be considered for 'appeal'. The school has approximately 1,100 pupils with around 150 in each year group. Girls are split into one of five houses in entry to the school. The school has around 60 classrooms and built a new 'sixth form area' last year which brought around 12 new classrooms, a fully equipped computer room, a new canteen with a larger seating area and a new common room which have all proved to benefit the majority of the school.AcademicsIn September 1997, the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) awarded the school specialist school status as a Technology College. It has also been awarded a second specialism as a Language College. In the 2008 exam series it achieved a 100% pass rate at GCSE with an average of 502 points per candidate, and a 100% pass rate at A2 with an average points score of 397 per candidate. As of the 2012 A-Level results, Beaconsfield High School managed to obtain the best A-level results in Buckinghamshire.Houses and Form groupsOn entering the school in year 7, each student is placed in a form group in which the entire form are in the same house. Students stay in the same form groups until the end of year 8, where they will be required to move and meet other students from different houses. There are five houses; Beech, Cedar, Maple, Rowan and Willow. Students in year 12 can apply to be prefects, and one can apply to become a head of house prefect which is considered to be a senior role. The heads of houses are required to encourage students to adopt a 'house identity', run house focuses every other week and organise the house pantomimes by themselves.

Wycombe High School is a girls' grammar school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It is an Academy, taking girls from the age of 11 through to the age of 18. The school has approximately 1,340 pupils. In May 2011 the school became an Academy.In September 2005, the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) awarded the school specialist school status in Mathematics & Computing.HistoryThe school was the first state grammar school for girls in Buckinghamshire when it opened in 1901 with eighteen students.The Clock House in Frogmoor, High Wycombe was where the school was originally housed in 1901. The school was first opened in September 1901 when there were only 18 fee paying students and 3 staff. Miss Mary Christie M.A. was the first headmistress.The school moved to Benjamin Road in 1906 where it remained for 50 years, except for a time during the First World War when it was evacuated to the old grammar school so that Benjamin Road buildings could be used as a military hospital. By 1922 the school had 300 pupils and was rapidly expanding. The school acquired its status as a Voluntary Controlled Girl's Grammar School in 1944. By 1956 the number of girls wishing to attend the school was so great that the school moved again to new premises that were built at the present site on Marlow Hill.It won Top of the Form in 1959.Over the years new buildings were added to the school as it grew larger, with Technology, Sport and Drama blocks being some of the latest additions. These were built to allow for the extra 300 pupils and staff that arrived when Lady Verney High School joined with Wycombe High in 1993.

Wycombe Abbey is an independent girls' boarding school situated in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. It is academically one of the top schools in the United Kingdom, and the top girls' boarding school (in terms of academic results). The School was founded in 1896 by Frances Dove (later knighted and known as Dame Frances Dove), who was previously headmistress of St Leonards School in Scotland. Its present capacity is approximately 540 girls, aged 11 to 18. The school is situated in 160 acres (650,000 m²) of ground in central High Wycombe. The land includes woods, gardens and a lake, and rises up to 500 feet (150 m) above sea level in the Chiltern Hills. The land is owned freehold by the school.The Good Schools Guide described the school as "Well-known, well respected, traditional girls' boarding school which suits self-starters and undoubtedly does well by them."As at most public schools, the pupils are divided into Houses. The Houses at Wycombe Abbey are: Airlie, Barry, Butler, Campbell, Cloister, Pitt, Rubens, Shelburne and Wendover. Girls in UVI live in Clarence, while the junior-most girls, UIIIs, live in Junior House. Every house at Wycombe Abbey is linked to a colour and, as part of the school uniform, girls wear ties which correspond to their House colour ie pale blue - Barry, green - Cloister, brown - Airlie, pink - Rubens, yellow - Pitt, orange - Butler, purple - Campbell, dark blue - Shelburne, red - Wendover. Each girl also has her own 'House Mother', a girl in the year above in the same House who looks after her, particularly when new to the School. Each House has a Housemistress and Matrons. The current Headmistress is Cynthia Hall who was previously Headmistress of St Helen's and St Katherine's School, Abingdon, Berkshire. Mrs Hall is retiring at the end of this academic year, and will be replaced by Mrs Rhiannon Wilkinson, currently Principal and Chief Executive of Harrogate Ladies' College.

It is takes children from the age of 11 through to the age of 18 with a total of approximately 1,000 pupils attending. The school shares a common catchment area with the nearby Holmer Green Senior School.HistoryThe school was founded in 1976, and named after Nobel Prize winning scientist Sir William Ramsay, who lived in Hazlemere until his death in 1916.It was awarded specialist school status as a Visual Arts College by the Department for Education and Skills in September 2000.In 2007, the school opened a multi-million pound performing arts centre. The first performance given by students was of the musical Grease.In August 2011 the school became an Academy.ControversiesOn 9 January 2004, a fifteen-year-old student stabbed a fellow pupil after she intervened when he threatened his ex-girlfriend with a seven inch steak knife.On the morning of 27 January 2007, two men entered the school, and were regarded as suspicious. Students were held in classrooms and the school was placed on lockdown while a police helicopter and canine team searched the surrounding area. Two men were later arrested.
