Jedburgh Active Schools
Active Schools will aim to:
1.Recruit, retain and develop a network of volunteers, coaches, leaders and teachers who in turn deliver opportunities in school and community sport.
2.Increase the quality and range of activities offered before, during lunch and after school.
3. Develop effective pathways between school and sport clubs to support the transition from school to community sport.
Active Schools exists across Scotland and is managed nationally by Sportscotland. The Scottish Borders Active Schools team sits within Borders Sports and Leisure Trust and consists of an Active Schools Assistant Manager, 7 full time Primary Coordinators and 4 Secondary Coordinators covering all 9 high schools.
The Jedburgh Active Schools team consists of a full time primary coordinator cover all 3 cluster primary schools and a part time secondary coordinator working in Jedburgh Grammar School.
