Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group

The Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group (SAHG) originally started life as 'The Jetstream Club' which was formed to manage the Jetstream 41 (G-JMAC) kindly donated by BAe Systems at Woodford. The Jetstream cockpit was converted to a flight simulator and the Club properly registered as a charity (#1106923) In January of 2010 it was agreed that a name change was in order to better reflect our activities. In addition to the Jetstream we also have Grumman AA1 G-SEXY, Avro 748 G-BEJD and our beloved Percival Prince G-AMLZ as well as a selection of smaller historic items. Fllying at Speke can be dated back to 1913 and Speke played a seldom reported yet significant role during WWII. We are tremendously grateful to the Crowne Plaza Hotel that now occupies the 1930s terminal building for all the help they have given us and for letting us use their apron. We are situated behind the actual hotel on the concrete hardstanding. We encourage visits from anyone who is interested, as well as bookings for our jetstream flight simulator. If you wish to make a simulator booking contact Rob using the given number. If you want to come and look around feel free to post on our wall or just turn up on a Saturday when work will hopefully be progressing. http://www.spekeaero.org http://www.jetstream-club.org/
