Glangwynedd self-catering cottage is situated in the Dyfi Valley in Mid-Wales on the border of the Snowdonia National Park, with Cader Idris only 5 miles away. To the south rises up the wild uplands of Plynlimon and the Cambrian mountains. The historic market town of Machynlleth, with it's interesting mix of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, is just a mile away and an easy walk or cycle ride along an off road cycle path. The beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay with sandy beaches is 9 miles away miles away. Further south is the seaside town of Aberystwyth, with more shops and an arts centre. The cottage is at the right hand end of the terrace and has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 3 single beds. There is a well equipped kitchen and the newly renovated bathroom is upstairs. The sitting room has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings with TV, DVD and video. The back garden is a suntrap in the afternoons when the garden furniture can be made use of. Walkers and cyclists are catered for with the drying room and bike storage shed. The surrounding countryside is a joy for those interested in wild-life. There are a variety of birds and animals which can be seen from the cottage, with kites soaring over and otters using the river. There are a variety of walks locally and the area is very popular for mountain-biking with lots of trails opened up in the Dyfi-forest.

Beautiful 15th Century, local white quartz stone cottage set in the heart of the Dyfi Valley. Ideal for those who enjoy the great outdoors. The cottage makes a perfect base for a holiday exploring Snowdonia National Park and the Cader Idris Mountain Range and is within easy driving distance of the spectacular heritage coastline and beaches of Wales. Pandy is situated in a secluded spot beside its very own small waterfall and Nant on the edge of the Dyfi valley pine forests, with views of hills and fields. Slate floor entrance hall leads into the kitchen/dining room equipped with electric cooker, washing machine and fridge. Cosy living room with inglenook fireplace, log burning stove and TV. Upstairs comprises of two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Large lawn garden and flower beds, with off road parking. The market town of Machynlleth which is 7 miles away is a traditional market town with historic buildings and Owain Glyndwr's Parliament, it holds claim to be the 'ancient capital of Wales'. Machynlleth has a good selection of individually owned shops, supermarket, antique shops, crafts, cafe/restaurants, takeaways and pubs.

The house offers simple, practical, no frills accomodation of up to ten people. There are five bedrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen and breakfast/dining room with traditional stone flooring and multifuel Rayburn (plus electric cooker and microwave), a bathroom, shower room with toilet and additional separate toilet. The downstairs living rooms have either a wood burning stove or an open coal fire in addition to electric storage heaters. The upstairs rooms have electric radiators. There is a washing machine, and crockery, pots and pans, duvets and pillows are provided (but not sheets). The decoration of the house is basic but comfortable. It is a truly wonderful and unique place for walkers, young families and those wishing to escape from a fast paced and noisy world, but it is basic and not for those looking for matching furniture. Opposite the farmhouse is a barn which has a large open space and a table tennis table (perfect for rainy days).
