The school was founded in the late 1940’s by Miss Mary Leonard and was formerly known as the Maghull School of Dancing. Miss Legge began her dance training with Miss Leonard and as a young teenager discovered her love and talent for teaching, in 1986 she became principal and the name was changed to the Loretta legge Theatre School. As the school expanded we moved to our present premises on Liverpool Road North. The standard and reputation of the school grew attracting pupils from an ever increasing area. Miss Legge introduced dance festivals to the time table and many of the children have won medals, trophies and awards in venues throughout the Northwest. We have 100% examination pass rate in all theatre dance subjects and pupils are regularly nominated through exams with the I.D.T.A to their annual scholarship awards.
