A World of Furniture was started by husband and wife Mark and Lucy Hotson in a small unit in Salisbury near to Tesco's on the Southampton Road (which is now a little bigger and now consists of 2 units), Mark fondly recalls the moment of the first delivery which was on his own in an old transit van (we all have to start somewhere!). He and Lucy have now expanded this business to 3 stores (a new position in Poole by Toys R' Us and Blandford on the Higher Shaftesbury Road) with another on the way in the future. It is a very close knit outfit with many of the staff having been there for over 15 years, there is huge dedication to the company and in particular a warm sense of loyalty to Mark himself. As the name suggests one of its aims is to give a huge range of different types of furniture, but its main aim is to bring good quality, solid, real wood products to its online customer base at superb prices. Unlike many of its competitors the online company is backed up by over 20 years of history, over 20,000 square feet of warehousing and some of the largest oak and pine showrooms in the UK. We have joined the retail revolution which will undoubtedly change the way we all view shopping and of course the way we actually do it.
