An award winning food shop in the heart of Sussex, we pride ourselves on sourcing high quality food and drink and supporting local farmers and producers wherever we can. Our new, larger shop is now open and although fruit and vegetables remain our focus, we are now also able to offer a wide range of beers and wines (including Harveys on tap) as well as a great selection of over the counter cheeses and meats. We also have a small cafe serviing breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, using food only available in the shop.

Kate’s Cookhouse is a small family run business dedicated to bringing you the finest home cooking from the very best ingredients in the Sussex area. We’re passionate about what we cook, everything is handmade with recipes handed down that have stood the test of time. We specialise in homemade pies, sausage rolls (we’re told ‘they’re the best there is), pates and terrine. All our flour is organic, our eggs free range and we source as much as we can locally (our beef is Sussex Longhorn from the Knepp Estate supplied by Garlic Wood Farm). We let the seasons influence what we cook, so our range varies through the year.
