CPAC Dance Academy
With all RAD ballet classes from pre school to Grade 8 and vocational levels being taken by the principle and accompanied by one of our team of pianists, we aim to offer a first rate, continuous training for anyone wanting the pleasure of learning to dance in a safe, friendly environment without audition. Along with Modern Theatre dance, tap, jazz and fitness/flexibility classes, we offer opportunities to perform within the community and in schools. Shows are often connected to M.Y. Theatre & Film Company (See Facebook Page) giving C.B.S pupils a 'feed' to develop their performance experiences. We offer examinations/class presentations of the RAD work and have a vibrant and enthusiastic pupil base.
Over the years many ex pupils have gone onto dance professionally in companies such as The Royal Ballet School, The Danish Royal, English National Ballet as well as many into commercial and musical theatre. We are a feeder school to The Hammond School, Chester, Northern Ballet School and Lane Theatre Arts.
All Pupils are given the opportunity to appear in school productions either within the local theatres, Congleton Town Hall or often by invite to dance galas, garden parties, presentations or charity events. In 2011-12 alone, we have danced for 'Ruby's Fund' at Biddulph Town Hall and Congleton High School twice, performed our own 60th anniversary celebration show, taken part in the Olympic Torch Relay, taken part in the world's longest tap routine, run four exam sessions with 100% pass rate and celebrated the birth of our tap teacher's baby!
This school never rests on it's laurels with the principle frequently attending professional development course in all aspects of the business. Through years of study, experience of teaching in numerous venues including educational schools, vocational schools, convents and circus and varied professional theatre and TV credits. Our principle aims to give a safe, friendly, encouraging and integrated dance opportunity to everyone who wishes to join our team!
