Inside you’ll find quirky original features mixed with contemporary, bright interiors which echo the colours of the surrounding countryside. Big windows give big views overlooking the river and countryside. Just metres from the start of a string of cycle tracks and public footpaths, Tomlinson’s is your ideal springboard to delve deep into the beautiful Northumberland National Park and discover the many other attractions of England’s most northerly county. Bring your bike, we’ve plenty of secure storage space, or hire one of ours. And if you’re looking for an introduction to the area or are new to cycling, we even provide guided rides with experienced leaders to give you a taste of rural Northumberland at its best.

The little pool with a big view! Rothbury Pool and Gym has a traditional style pool, available for general swimming, fun time, lessons and parent and baby sessions. Changing rooms are communal village style on the ground floor, including family cubicles (13.5 metres by 7.5 metres. The depth ranges from 0.8 metres at the shallow end with a gradual decline to 1.4 metres. Diving is prohibited). Our new fitness centre extension opened in September 2008 and includes over 20 pieces of new Life Fitness equipment.

Rothbury Parish Council would like to encourage more residents to take a greater interest in local activities, events and issues which affect the local community

Rothbury Football Club was founded in 1876, and as such is one of the oldest clubs in Northumberland. The football pitch at Armstrong Park, gifted to the club by Armstrong Estate in1984, was originally opened in 1949. Maintained by local volunteers, it is generally accepted as being among the finest in the county. The original wooden clubhouse was greatly prized until decay and woodworm set in and new premises were required to house the increasing number of players. In 1979 local supporters with a variety of building skills cooperated to build a new clubhouse: an excellent example of community action.
