We are a non-government voluntary organisation, that has a democratically elected structure, we are the representative body of students at Deeside, Northop, Llysfasi and Wrexham Training campuses of Deeside College. We are an affiliated member of the National Union of Students (NUS) and NUS Wales. We are a union of students that come together to actively engage with and against the college on issues that matter to our students. We are held accountable to them, and are elected by them, to represent them within the college. Their concerns and issues set out the policies for the coming year.

Edinburgh University Politics and International Relations Society is one of the oldest and largest societies at the University of Edinburgh. We have a proud tradition of hosting distinguished speakers from the arenas of politics, diplomacy, activism and media and from across the political spectrum. As a politically neutral society, we are dedicated to providing a public forum for discussion, expanding horizons and informing the views of our members. Apart from speaker events we provide a link between student and staff of the Politics and International Relations Department and host current affairs debates, film screenings, excursions, social gatherings and career workshops as well as produce the Leviathan, our politics and current affairs journal.
