Hello and welcome to Abi’s Facepainting. I am based in Goole, East Yorkshire. This is pretty much centrally located in Yorkshire, and places such as Howden, Selby, Doncaster, Scunthorpe etc are all within travelling distance from me. My postcode is DN14 5.. if you want to look how far away I am from your event. I have been facepainting for approximately 3 years now. I started by dabbling a little at a charity fun day I help out with, and then I volunteered to help paint at a Halloween disco at my daughters school as a helper. The main facepainter ended up having to go home as she was ill, so I ended up well and truly stuck in the deep end! All good fun though – and I still love every minute of it today. I set up as a business some time later, and in December 2012 I met a professional facepainter who thoroughly inspired me to take facepainting to a higher standard! I have a very large selection of facepaints, glitters & brushes. My facepaints are all professional, water based paints by such makes as DFX, TAG, Superstar, & Sillyfarm. These are a step up from the Snazaroo brands, and provide a more vibrant colour with better coverage. I have lots of metallic, glitters & shimmers which create such a lovely finish. My kit is worth over £1000 and keeps growing! In June 2013, I started painting baby bumps! Please see the page all about it - I am so pleased with how well it is taking off. I paint at birthday parties, christenings, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, and also I am available to paint corporate events or gala type events. I am more than happy to paint adults as well as children – why should the kids have all the fun?! I am a mum myself, so I understand what it is like dealing with small children and I have lots of patience. I am also CRB checked and fully insured. To make sure these events run safely, staff at [insert name of premises] are trained to operate in compliance with a voluntary Code of Practice (see attached Staff Charter details). We also have a Young People’s Charter (see attached Young People’s Charter details) so that young people know our house rules and what to expect when they come to our venue. We recognise that as responsible parents/carers, you need to be informed about the event your child is attending, so here is some general information about the way we operate to keep children and young people safe: • Admission to the event is restricted to children & young people aged between (insert here). Proof of age will be required – please note that we ONLY accept a Passport, Photo Driving Licence, Student Union Photo Card or cards bearing the PASS logo. • Admission is ticket only, so please make sure your child has obtained a ticket before arriving at the venue. • Breath testing for alcohol use is a condition of entry and under 18’s will be refused entry if they have been drinking or they behave anti-socially. • For your child’s safety, bag searches, gender appropriate pat downs and a walk-through metal detector may be operated. • Queue barriers will be used to prevent road traffic accidents. • Security staff will monitor the external areas in proximity to the premises to prevent unsafe, illegal or anti social activity prior to or after the event. • Cigarette and gaming machines will be covered or removed for Under 18’s only events. • There will be regular patrols and floor walks to monitor activity in toilets and other areas. • Illegal or harmful substances (alcohol, tobacco, solvents or drugs) will be confiscated by staff and reported to the police. • A Children’s Safeguarding Champion will attend the event and a ‘safe child welfare area’ will be identified. This person will be suitably CRB checked. • All security staff are SIA registered, uniformed and identifiable. • Staff will NOT eject a young person from the venue if they are vulnerable. They will advise the member of staff who is responsible for child welfare at the event (Children’s Safeguarding Champion), of any young person who appears vulnerable or incapable and parents/carers or the statutory agencies will be contacted. • Free tap water will be available from the bar, on request and the venue will be suitably air conditioned where fitted. • Irresponsible promoters will not be used at the premises. • Events will end in time for young people to use public transport home. • For parents/carers wishing to drop-off or collect children, the designated pick up point is [Insert here].

The Salsa Cascara crew consists of Mal Cox and Bev Stiling, who are both United Kingdom Alliance (UKA) Qualified Salsa Dance Teachers. We have our own Civil Liability Insurance and all appropriate Entertainment Licences (PPL/ProDub). We run weekly Salsa Classes in Sturminster Newton and Dorchester. Our popular 6 Week Beginner Courses are held throughout the year and can be booked in advance. Please check the 'Classes' page on our website (www.salsacascara.co.uk) for the date of our next course. We also provide 'Move To Improver' and 'Improver' Level classes at each of our venues. We teach Cross Body Salsa 'on 1' and aim to teach all our Salsa classes in a fun manner, but with enough information to give all our students the confidence to take what they have learnt on to the dancefloor. Our Party Nights are a great opportunity for everyone to socialise with each other from our two different venues, as well as meeting dancers from other Salsa clubs. We meet at the Oddfellows Hall in Dorking High Street on every second Friday of the month. A programme of events can be found on our website http://dorkingawarenessgroup.webs.com/ Entrance fee is £5, doors open at 7.30 and no admittance after 8pm. The evening usually finishes at 9.30pm.
