Heading into its second edition, the Fashion Festival has already made an impressive mark on the international fashion scene, engaging with the industry and the city in a fresh, innovative way. This year sees a further evolution of the Festival, with a series of exceptional, curated events across Edinburgh. Over two weekends in July, we present runways shows, exhibitions, gala parties and talks in some of the most unique and beautiful venues the city can boast. International luminaries will sit alongside local heroes as the Fashion Festival captivates the industry and general public in original, thought-provoking ways.

As a self-professed dance class addict, I dread the end of the summer term at my local dance centre, and the long break from my favourite classes that accompanies it. I thought there may be other community dancers who felt the same so I decided to try my luck and ask four of the best teachers that Edinburgh has to offer to come and teach an intensive week of classes in early July, when other dance schools and centres are closed. Fortunately, they agreed and so began Dance-On-Edinburgh and The Edinburgh Summer Sessions...... and long may they continue!

We all get involved in teaching the courses, with occasional visiting tutors, selected from Edinburgh’s amazing makers, who add something new.
