The Community Cinema Club is an independent, not-for-profit, organisation set up to cater for film enthusiasts in the area. We aim to show a varied programme of non-mainstream films which reflect the tastes and interests of our members. We screen at least one film on the 2nd Thursday of each month in The Guildhall of St George at 7.30pm. Members pay a subscription which covers all films in a particular season and allows them to bring along up to 2 friends. Alongside this we organise a regular social programme of meals, outings, quizzes and a monthly education programme of film history, close readings, visiting lecturers and day schools.
