The Chestermaster estate is owned by Will Chestermaster, it makes up a large part of Cirencester and the surrounding areas. In 2010 Will Chestermaster made the decision to open up particular arias of his land to the general public, he did this to create a permissive pathway through his grounds. A permissive path, permitted path or concessionary path is not a public right of way. It’s a path which could potentially be used by walkers, riders, cyclists, or any combination of the above. The use of the permissive is allowed by the landowner in this case Will Chestermaster. Some of the more well established permissive footpaths and bridleways are publicized respectively as short- and long- dashed orange line on 1:25,000 scale Ordnance Survey map. Permissive pathways are often closed on specified date annually each year; typically this is just for one day. Permissive pathways are normally clearly singed as permissive pathways. These precautions are to prevent any possible forthcoming claim of unremitting public access along the pathway, as claim could result in it becoming designated as a statutory right of way.

I lead walks around areas such as Mayfair, Belgravia and St James's. Most walks have a food and drink theme and usually have a pub stop half way through!
