In 1973 after 10 years of restoration work by the Rotary Club, the English Tourist Board gave a grant to cover the cost of completing the remaining restoration work. This included converting the adjoining farmhouse into a Tea Rooms and Craft Centre with additional funding from Ilfracombe Urban District Council. The restoration work was masterminded by Glanville Pedlar & Glanville's son, Richard, a Bristol architect, drew up the plans. The restoration work was completed in June 1975.
