I capture a moment at a place where I was at the time I was there and the image that I saw, and then to provide that moment as a visual experience for others to appreciate and hopefully 'feel' the emotions that I experienced at the time.
The majority of my work is landscape photography. I see a landscape as a collection of items that come together to make the whole - trees, a river, the sky and clouds, rolling hillside fields, a lake, and even animals, plants and people can each be included in a landscape vista; but we often forget that they also individually have a reason to be photographed.
Therefore, as well as capturing vistas I sometimes look at specific subjects that fascinate me and can provide me with a reason to capture those illusive moments in time.
