Saturday, September 8th. 10am - 5pm The Ashburton Food & Drink Festival is a celebration of the fantastic local food producers and traders that are found in and around our historic Dartmoor town. Last year's food & drink festival was widely hailed as a great success for the quality of the producers, the friendly atmosphere and cookery theatre with many people saying it was their favourite food festival of the year. Festival is on Saturday 8th Sept, 2012 the Ashburton Festival Association in partnership with the Ashburton Cookery School will once again transform St.Lawrence lane in the heart of Ashburton with over 50 stallholders lining the street offering the very best in local food & drink. At the Cookery Theatre at St Lawrence Chapel you will find an exciting programme of cookery demonstrations from local and celebrity chefs throughout the day. Festival Events won't just be limited to St. Lawrence Lane either with Ashburton's retailers, pubs and eateries getting involved in the festivities. Bring the family to the Ashburton Food & Drink Festival and help celebrate the best of Devon. We specialise in growing over ninety varieties of sweet pepper and chillies which we supply from April to October each year. We also have a range of hand made chilli chutneys, chilli jams, cards, sauces, chilli fudge, chilli pickles, chilli oil and our award winning chilli chocolate. Our range of quality preserves and sauces all made traditionally by hand in small regular batches for maximum quality and flavour. We are a very eco friendly business. We run our nursery using wind and solar power and use green initiatives such as Rainwater harvesting and recycling. Our plants are grown naturally and holistically without any pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. We are members of the Wholesome Food Association.
