Mini Rockers Music & Play

Mini Rockers Music & Play

Sinclair Avenue, Banbury ,
For babies from 6 weeks to 30 months. Mini Rockers is a contemporary, unique, relaxed, fun, musical atmosphere for you and your baby to explore the world of music through different musical styles, songs and nursery rhymes, using props and suitable instruments. Mini Rockers is all about having heaps of fun but through my experience I have developed structured classes to help develop your mini ones senses through the use of music and play. Babies are fascinated by music and what better way to spend some extra special time together during the day and not only that, Mini Rockers is a great way to meet other mums in the area and dad's, you can come along too! There are many positive benefits from surrounding your mini one with music and these benefits include; * Memory development and sensory co-ordination * Instrument play can help with creative development and fine motor skills * Speech development * Teaches tone and beat * Helps to relax your baby and a happy baby makes a happy mummy and Daddy! These are just a few positive effects that music and movement can have on your baby but the most important thing is that it is a way for you to connect and communicate with your baby and strengthen that special bond that you share with each other. Mini Rocker classes are home based which makes it extra relaxed and comfortable insuring you have all the facilities needed when out and about. The classes include many musical themes, classical nursery rhymes, prop play, instrument play, movement and a chance to have a good chat about our babies, ourselves and any tips we might want to share with each other. The best time to start Mini Rockers is around 7 weeks when your baby starts to become alert however if you do have a newborn and just want to get out the house then that's great too, your newborn will still get something out of it no matter how many weeks old they are and I am sure you will too! We all know babies can be unpredictable when it comes to feeding, changing and sleeping so don’t worry about that, at Mini Rockers you can do all the above during the class if needed! Mini Rockers also do special 1st Birthday Parties! If you are looking for something extra special for your mini one for their 1st Birthday then Mini Rockers is perfect! On the 30th July 2011 I gave birth to my first baby boy Dawson Leo and what an amazing although slightly daunting experience it is becoming a mother for the first time! Due to becoming a mummy i decided once my maternity leave was completed that I would not return to work, mainly due to the distance and traveling as I worked away out of Banbury. I was working as the assistant manager and head music and play teacher for a global children’s music and play company. Once deciding this i found myself thinking about starting my own baby group specialising in music and play and here we are! Music is such an important part of my life, studying Musical Theater at University and finishing with a degree, working as a children’s entertainer once graduated, teaching movement and dance, performing solo cabaret acts, working as a music and play teacher and currently working as a professional vocalist performing in pubs, at events and wedding entertainment. I also understand the importance of music for babies and not only that, the enjoyment that Dawson, Daddy and myself get out of it is amazing and I wanted to share that with other mothers in the area. What some of our members have had to say... "My son and I love Mini Rockers, It's great to see him enjoying the musical instruments and interacting with the other babies. The themes that Jemma puts on are great fun and mix the sessions up, making it added fun!" - Sandra & Zach "I have been taking my baby girl Sophie to the mini rocker classes for a few weeks now and we have both thoroughly enjoyed each session. The classes are small and the atmosphere is friendly. I am able to interact with Sophie through music, songs and various instruments and she chatters and smiles away throughout in repsonse to the different sounds and songs. Every two weeks there is a different theme which not only keeps the class fresh, but also exposes the babies to a wide range of music. The classes ensure that the babies use all their senses to maximise their development. Sophie loves being a mini rocker!" - Libby & Sophie Saturday mornings never used to be THIS much fun!! At mini-rockers mums, dads and little'uns all get to make noise with shakers, rattles and bongoes as well as mucking about with juggling scarves, pom-poms and a parachute !! All this accompanied by themed music and drinks provided by bubbly host Jemma. Oh, and did I mention the big bunny? - Chris, Nat and Cody - 10 months! :-)
