The Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society is a registered charity, established in 1865. It is incorporated under a Royal Charter, with HRH the Princess Royal as its patron. It provides retired seafarers from all over the UK with a full range of nursing care, residential care, including sheltered flats, and soon, specialised dementia care, available all on one site. People of non-seafaring backgrounds are also welcome when space is available. Respite care is also possible.
