The shop is on two floors and contains a wealth of items for both the home and individual, as well as a good range of greeting cards. Stockists of Yankee Candle and Gisela Graham. Our policy is to try to stock items not seen everywhere else at reasonable prices.

Our light and spacious gallery is in the High Street of the popular Welsh seaside town of Barmouth, just south of the Heritage site of Harlech Castle. Most of the pieces featured are exclusive to Oriel. We design, paint, print and photograph many of them ourselves. Mugs, coasters, placemats and cards all show our own designs. Valerie’s dual styles of painting provide a collection of images which are modern and colourful. Janet Bell, our daughter-in-law, also has a wide range of both original and printed images available through Oriel. Valerie has always been the public face of the business, while Kevin works behind the scenes maintaining our busy Fine Art Printing business which produces most of the work displayed in the Gallery, as well as printing for Artists, Galleries and Fine Art Publishers. Our photographs printed on canvas are particularly popular. Kevin is also a Landscape and Wildlife photographer. Our framing workshop is on the premises so we are usually able to respond to urgent requests, subject to work in hand. Sue and Ginny ensure that the workshop is running smoothly.
