West Lothian Table Tennis Club
West Lothian Table Tennis Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club, duly accredited by West Lothian Council and affiliated to Table Tennis Scotland and based in Bathgate. It was founded with the sole purpose of providing a facility for West Lothian table tennis players, of all standards and backgrounds, to enjoy competitive play and develop their skills.
It is also a key aim of the club to encourage the population of West Lothian to participate in the sport of Table Tennis, whether socially or competitively. Just as important as the sport of table tennis is the sense of camaraderie within the club and every effort is made to maintain and foster this sense of community and community spirit.
There are currently about 70 players registered at the club and all of a suitable age and standard are encouraged to play in the West Lothian Table Tennis League and associated events. There are also six teams registered in the Edinburgh & Lothians Table Tennis League, with these teams competing in a full range of divisions.Only last year the decision was also taken to enter the Scottish National League and there are now teams competing in both the senior league and the junior league.
The club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 7pm and 10pm and Fridays from 8pm to 10pm during the match season, with a reduced programme over the summer months.
