Bicester Green
Centre for Skills, Sustainability & Secondhand Stuff
Bicester Green is a new centre just opened up right by Bicester Town Railway Station, only 5min from the town centre.
It has been set up to make better use of resources by repairing items that would otherwise have been sent to landfill.
The centre aims to benefit the local community through providing skills training that will help lead to employment, by teaching innovation and self reliance and advocating sustainable living.
The centre will include a repair service of donated items for the following:
• Small Electrical Items
• Bicycles
• Furniture
There is also a reasonable sized conference room that will be available for hire for training events, screenings, exhibitions and many more community engagement events.
At the moment we are looking for volunteers so please get in touch if you feel you can contribute some of your time and skills to this new project.
Partners include Grassroots Bicester, Oxfordshire Waste Partnership, Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council, Bicester Town Council, CAGs Oxfordshire and Sobell House Hospice Charity.
