Heron’s Lea, built in 1924, is a large detached home situated in three acres of beautifully tended gardens and lawn areas. In 1994 we opened as a care home for the older person and with sympathetic and careful thought has been gradually extended to accommodate 20 residents. Family and friends are encouraged to visit at any reasonable time of day/evening and invited to stay for a coffee or cup of tea in the comfortable lounges, conservatory or patio depending on the time of year. Our performers are a mixture of professionals, ranging from Movie and TV Stunt Performers, Live Action Performers and Trained Actors. All of whom have many years experience in performing in front of the public in a safe and controlled way. The performances presented are a clear representation of the periods covered. Both costumes and content are thoroughly researched, to help give a better understanding of the past, while balancing this with the audience's expectations of the 'Hollywood' version of our long heritage. All these elements meet to give an exciting and entertaining experience.
