Total Plant Analysis Ltd was established in 2007 by Darren Oakley to provide first class maintenance; repair and breakdown support to existing in house engineering teams and complete maintenance outsourcing. Darren’s experience as a mechanical engineer was developed through a technician level apprentiship with-in the machine manufacturing industry, developing and servicing machines for the flat glass industry. For several years Darren provided in-house maintenance and facilities services for a major UK glass manufacturer and prior to setting up the company was a director for the UK’s leading manufacturer of glass tempering systems. During this long serving association with the glass industry Darren has become increasingly aware of the need for the fast response reactive service that is demanded by today’s “just-in-time” manufacturing, however it is the fundamental ethos of the business that this service, whilst necessary, is an expensive final resort and the key to successful and cost effective manufacturing is pro-active, condition based maintenance carefully scheduled to give maximum availability, service life and financial return.
