The Festival takes place in Torquay on the English Riviera. Visit our website to see photographs of the area, one of outstanding natural beauty. Then we are based in the Livermead Cliff Hotel, a 3* with wonderful facilities for making our audiences feel welcome. And the views from the function room window are some of the best in Torbay. But above all we have great poets: in the past few years we have had Carol Ann Duffy, Dannie Abse, Kit Wright, R.V. Bailey as headline poets. Alongside we have also been privileged to have had talented young poets, many of whom have been Foyles’ Young Poets prize-winners such as Helen Mort, or been short-listed for their first collections. The Festival is known as one of the friendliest around and there is time for making friends and meeting the poets.
