The Brockenhurst College Sports Academy is a Talent Development Programme which offers 16–19 year olds 9 hours a week of coaching and competition in their chosen sport alongside academic study. The Academy covers Rugby, Football, Hockey, Netball, Basketball and Cricket.

The College Sports Centre is open to the local community. It offers a variety of excellent facilities, supported by qualified, friendly staff. A large, free car park is adjacent to the centre. A varied programme of activities and courses is available to suit everyone. We also run various "pay-and-play" sessions and our recently refurbished, fully equipped fitness suite is perfect for achieving a range of individual fitness goals. The Cricket Academy is a talent development programme designed for Sixth Form students who are talented cricket performers that would like combine their academic studies with a structured cricket development programme. The programme consists of 4 hours a week and runs alongside a student’s academic timetable. It is designed to improve player’s core technical and tactical skills through high level training and regular competition against other colleges, universities and clubs.

The Hockey Academy is a talent development programme designed for Sixth Form students who are talented Hockey performers that would like combine their academic studies with a structured hockey development programme. The programme consists of 8 hours a week and runs alongside a student’s academic timetable. It is designed to improve player’s core technical and tactical skills through high level training and regular competition against other colleges, universities and clubs.

In recent years, opportunities for young people to get ahead after leaving state education have become more and more difficult to access. This is where we come in!

Brockenhurst College has been working successfully with businesses to provide relevant training for a range of programmes for many years. Its modern facilities and professional staff with a range of industry experience, and its commitment to providing quality education for all, make it uniquely placed to provide excellent support for Apprenticeships.

The academy trains three times a week and plays games on a Tuesday and Thursday after college. Training times are Monday 2pm - 4pm, Wednesdays 2pm-4pm, and Fridays 9am - 12.30pm. The academy attends a 10 day training camp in the states every year to help develop players and give them an idea of what level is needed to be an elite player. We look to provide players with a pathway to Uni to continue playing competitively.
