Cardiff Business School one of the leading business schools in the UK and has a global reputation for research, teaching and learning. A faculty of international repute delivers high quality educational programmes to 2,500 students a year, 700 of which are postgraduate students.
In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, the School was ranked 4th in the UK of all business and management schools, recognising its position amongst the elite creators of business knowledge in the UK. 70% of the School's research was judged to be either world-leading or internationally excellent.
The vibrant research environment of the School contributes to its growing PhD programme: the School's research programme is ESRC recognised and has 140 PhD students currently studying within the School.
The School makes a useful contribution to both policy and practice on a local, national and international level. Our research informs organisations such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the United Nations, the Treasury, the Department for Trade and Industry and the Department for Communities and Local Government and working on consultation projects for blue-chip, global firms.
