Celtic Sustainables started in 2008 when Glyn used Earthborn Claypaint to paint his children’s rooms. It had no smell and they could sleep soundly and safely in the same room the same night!
As we looked into the issues we realised the potentially hazardous effects that painting our houses with conventional paints can have on our health, the health of our homes, and effects on the wider environment – something we’d never thought about before.
From that point we began offering a full range of paints for inside and outside, oils for all types of wood, eco-friendly accessories, and cleaning products from our outlet in Cardigan.
We subsequently launched our website and online shop to offer the products more widely. We have also been exhibiting at local public shows to raise awareness of the benefits of using our products.
We also organized and ran the Cardigan Sustainability Week in 2010.
We currently offer high performance eco-friendly paints and wood treatments from natural oils for all your interior and exterior needs, including floors, walls, ceilings, sheds and furniture. We also have natural non-itch insulation from sheepwool and recycled paper. Our range is constantly expanding and new products are being added all the time.
