Originally founded on an informal basis by six members in 2000, The King Street Gallery cooperative has been in operation as a not-for-profit limited company since 2004. We aim to provide a mutually supportive exhibiting environment, promote high quality visual arts in the community and sell directly to the public. We support external exhibitions and events, by renting space to other artists. We facilitate creative workshops and educational activities for the community.

We are located on the two floors above Community Crafts in Carmarthen (next door to the library). To get to us, go up the stairs inside Community Crafts. On the top floor is the stunning Exhibition gallery which is available to rent on a monthly basis. It is a fantastically light and airy space with views across Carmarthen. On the second floor you will find 'Craft at Oriel Mimesis', dedicated to showcasing and selling the work of talented local crafts people. There are a range of items and something to suit all pockets, come and have a browse. Shelf space is available to rent on a monthly basis. Oriel Mimesis also offers crafting sessions, a chance to learn new skills or brush up on old ones. Details of classes will be added to our website and facebook page.
