Gatley Villiage is situated in Cheadle under the county of Cheshire. Parts of Gatley also come under the county of Greater Manchester. The roots of the village can be traced back to1290 when Gatley came under the name Gateclyve, which in Old English means "a place where goats are kept". Modern day Gatley has approximately 9000 residents, boasting residents from all over the world. Gatley has numerous landmarks including the war memorial Clock which has recently been restored as the village’s centrepiece. The Tatton Cinema continues to remain in the heart of the village but as of yet remains undeveloped.
