We are a local family run butchers in Broomfield (just outside Chelmsford town centre) and have been running for over 25 years. We take pride in offering high quality meat and poultry in-store, online and by delivery to the General Public, Catering Industry, Schools and Restaurants. Where we can we source all of our meat locally in essex. All our butchers are fully qualified and have over 100 years combined expierence they are able to give you the service and quality you expect. We only deliver to the essex area to try and keep our produce as local as possible whilst also helping to preserve the enviroment. We ask you to specify in the special notes when you would like your order to be delivered. We also offer delivery until 9pm on a thursday.

Makey-Cakey is based in Boreham, near Chelmsford in Essex, making novelty and celebration cakes, and cupcakes. Cakes can also be made with egg-free sponges. I gained my creative flair during my many years as a graphic designer, and initially developed an interest in sugar craft after creating a designer birthday cake as a bit of fun for a family member. My talent and passion grew quickly as I started making celebration cakes for all the family and a few of my friends. Without realising it my hobby had suddenly become a business. It was then that I enrolled on a course at Brooklands College, a centre for excellence in bakery, sugar craft and cake decorating. In 2008 I finally turned my new passion into a profession and founded Venus Cakes. Since then we’ve won awards, presented at industry events and shows, and have also been featured on Sky TV. In 2012, the company rebranded to Amanda Macleod. Our mission has been key to our success, we will only deliver individuality and attention to detail previously unseen in the industry. The team that is Amanda Macleod today, won’t just bake you a special cake… we’ll define and produce astounding edible art in absolute harmony with your celebration!
