The artists’ studios are located on the first floor to the left, and are rented out to independent artists who come in to work at the mill at their pleasure. Whenever an artist is in the studios they will usually have the doors open so that anyone can go inside and browse. Some of the artwork is on sale and you can pick up some quality pieces for very reasonable prices. You will find the framing workshop on this floor, just inside the doors on the right as you enter. If you have a favourite photograph or piece of artwork you want presenting in a custom fitted frame this is the place to come. The proprietor’s grandson is developing his skills as a candle maker and has a small display of hand crafted candles for sale in the glass cabinet. The mill also consists of antique sales on three floors, where you can always find an unusual bargain. In the basement of the mill you will find The Bed Centre with a fine selection of beds and other related furnishings.
