Creetown Cycle4Life

St John Street, Creetown ,
Creetown Cycle4Life is an exciting 2 year project aimed at getting our community out of the car and onto a bike. And the best bit is that everything is FREE! YES FREE Bikes including electrically assisted bikes are available for hire by the hour or day, complete with a safety helmet and accessories such as panniers and trailers We will be organising evening and weekend rides throughout the year, catering for people of all ages and abilities, providing as much exercise as you want and lots of FUN. We will have fix your own bike workshops with tuition, repair manuals, tools and work-stands provided to hep you repair or get your bike back onto the road or trails. There will be Ladies only and mixed workshops as well as maintenance classes for those under the age of 16. We are on the lookout for volunteers to help out in anyway they are able to, from running classes, organising rides and trips, providing bikeability training plus much more, offering training and advice to enable you to become a part of this project. We also welcome any donations of unused serviceable bikes which we will make roadworthy and offer free to members of the community. We are very conscious of the many businesses operating within the Dumfries & Galloway region offering cycling holidays, hire facilities and related services. Creetown Cycle4Life is very much a community based project and one where we are simply looking to provide a modal shift from car to bike or walking for those journeys of less than 2 miles.
