Cullybackey Development Association
The Agency came into being in 2011 when it took over the responsibilities of The Cullybackey Resident’s Association. Subsequent to this The Cullybackey Community Association dissolved and merged with the Agency.
The Agency, despite being in it’s infancy ,has been active in bringing about improvements in the village
The Agency is run by a fifteen strong committee including three local councillors .
Current activities include:
Running computer classes
Overseeing the setting up of an Historical Society
Overseeing Youth Club at Community Centre
Developing a village plan
Working in conjunction with Bann Maine West Hub Group
Acting as a pressure group for improvements in village facilities.
Recent past events organized by the Agency include:
A Country Ceilidh
A volunteer “thank you†dinner
A Jubilee fun day
Future plans include;
Updating computer software
Making better use of Community House
Working closely with the other Community Group in the village
Organizing community events
