Lashes & creation
Eyelash extensions are applied on one-to-one basis where one fake eyelash is applied to one of your natural eyelashes, therefore making it look longer and fuller.
Please come free from eye make-up (this saves time and allows better adhesion)
You may take make-up with you and apply it after procedure.
24 hrs before the appointment, do not apply any creams around eye area (you can use it on the rest of the face). This is due to creams containing oils and moisturisers that will not allow strong adhesion. This is something you will need to get used to while having semi-permanent lashes on.
If you wear contact lenses, please be prepared that they will need to be removed before procedure. Straight after the procedure they can be placed back in.
Think about the look you would like to achieve for your eyes (e.g. natural, dramatic, longer, thicker etc.)
The duration of your individual eyelash extensions very much depends upon how you will treat them. It is important to follow these guidelines to pro-long the life of your eyelash extensions.
1. After your lash extensions it is normal to experience loss of some lashes during the first 24 hours as adhesive is still setting, please take extra care during this period and do not worry as approximately 70-100 lashes are applied on each eye per full set.
2. Do not use saunas or steam rooms during the first 48 hours.
3. Avoid getting your eyelashes wet for the first 24 hours - after that it is safe to swim, shower and wash your face with water.
4.You can rinse your lashes with water and pat them dry gently with a towel, however do not rub your lashes while washing them and avoid using cotton wool.
5. Eyelash Curlers should not be used as they may damage the bond and break eyelash. If you like curly eyelashes, please advise your technician before procedure as different curls are available.
6. Be careful while using your normal skincare products, avoid lash area (skincare products are likely to contain moisturisers and oils which will cause bond to soften and therefore shorten the life of your lash extensions).
7. Do not pick, pull or rub your eyelashes.
8. You need to take extra care when using make up remover as it may contain oil that damages the bonding agent. We recommend using Sleek Lashes make-up remover. This remover is gentle and does not contain any oils or moisturisers that would soften the bond.
9. Gently groom your new lashes with an eyelash brush or comb when needed.
10.If you wish to use mascara, we recommend using Sleek Lashes mascara available from your technician. It is water based and specially formulated for eyelash extensions. Avoid using waterproof mascara, as it will shorten the life of your lash extensions.
11. Lashes should not be permed or tinted, if you require eyelash tint you need to do this before the application of individual lashes.
12. If you experience any itching or irritation, contact your technician as soon as p
