A Railway Adventure in Eastbourne. The Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway was the dream brought to life by Mike Wadey and his family back in 1992. After a year of hard work by them and some great friends they were able to open the gates for all to enjoy. You can now travel behind the famous one-eighth scale miniature locomotives as they meander for nearly a mile around the beautiful country park. Enjoy a pleasant stroll around the five-acre lake where nature and wildlife may be seen in their natural habitats. Relax in the prize-winning tea gardens with a range of beverages, including cream tea with home made scones and a spot of lunch from the railway style cafe. There is a large playground area with picnic benches and play equipment for the older children and also an enclosed 'Tots area' for under 5's to play, explore and 'let off steam'. The 'sidings' is an undercover area where you can enjoy watching the model railways go by and just outside from there is a lovely garden railway. There is a gift shop with a large range of stock inside and friendly staff to help make your day extra special.

Recently refurbished this sea fronted Pirate themed park is a swashbuckling favourite with all the family. Offering: Treasure Island Adventure Park: Climb aboard Long John Silver's shipwreck with slides, bridges, netted walkways and zip slide in spacious parkland or splash in the paddling lagoon & look for treasure in the sandy beach. Buccaneers Indoor Adventure: This huge indoor soft play area on 2 levels with other fun activities also has a separate area for tiny tots. There is a comfortable seated area for adults with refreshments/snacks available from one of our Food Ahoy centres. Pirate Adventure Golf: 18-hole course, which is floodlit in the summer evenings. Putt over & under bridges, through caves with extraordinary themed landscaping and enchanting Pirate lore. Food/refreshment: "Hungry Pirate" &"Food Ahoy" centres offering refreshments for the whole family at very affordable prices.

The Arndale Centre is one of Eastbourne’s top tourist destinations and it’s easy to see why with our fantastic selection of top brand names including Marks & Spencer, Primark, Next, HMV, Boots and Bhs. Parking could not be easier with 1300 spaces available in our main car park situated directly above the shops and in our secondary car park in Junction Road just two minutes from the Centre where you’ll find the cheapest parking deal in Eastbourne for just £3.50 a day. You’ll be spoilt for choice with our great range of places where you can take a break and recharge those batteries. Starbucks, Shades and Cafe Ruby Coffee & Muffins to name just a few. For those with mobility difficulties, Eastbourne Shopmobility (situated just outside the Centre’s main doors next to Marks & Spencer) is open from Monday to Friday until 4.30pm and Saturday 9am until 5pm.
