Kelburn Garden Party

Kelburn Castle, Fairlie ,
The Kelburn Garden Party 2013: 6th & 7th July Nestled between the behemoths of Glastonbury and T In The Park, the Garden Party is an affordable, friendly and stress-free weekend of dance-and-thought-inducing music, performance and activities set on the rugged West Coast of Scotland. Featuring a truly eclectic line-up of music plucked from across the spectrum of Scotland’s rich musical cauldron, this year’s programme caters for the tastes of all – from folkies, rockers and funk brothers to clubbers, dubbers and techno heads – there is something here for you. We have workshops, acoustic sessions, poetry (by the waterfall!), walks in the glen, mystery gigs in secluded spots, and much more besides. We earnestly implore: come and witness the historic, psychedelic walls of Kelburn Castle reverberate to joyous festival sounds as they float around this spectacular natural playground in a fairytale setting. Behold this magical kingdom of light, colour, sound, fire, water and earth – as we adorn it with crazy decorations and top class musical artistry. Revel in entertainment spread across 3 cosy stages, a dance tent, and numerous hidden nooks and pop-up spaces spread through the lush glen that forms this utterly unique festival site. We are child-friendly, and encourage everyone in fact to behave like big daft kids while they enjoy and explore the manifold delights of this quirky flight of fancy. Indeed, fancy dress is encouraged, as is participation in the ceilidh and rock-a-billy dancing sessions. You should certainly set aside some time to explore the weird and living delights of the Secret Forest, and the lush glen that overlooks the whole shebang, where surprises may lurk. So, come one and all, discover Scotland’s quirkiest, funkiest boutique festival for yourself; come dance with us, and share in our dream, built with only you in mind.
