Falmouth School of Sailing is an independent, fully recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training and Chartering School. Falmouth Powrboat School was started in 2011, working along side it’s sister company Falmouth School of Sailing. The school has taken on all the powerboat training, chartering and boat management from FSOS. We pride ourselves on quality tuition and have a high standard for all our services. Our aim is to make your time with us the best we can and for you to be safe out on the water. We pride ourselves as a friendly and approachable powerboat training and charterinng company which is located in one of the largest and most beautiful natural working harbours in the world. RYA MCA Training We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced courses in powerboating, We also work with another local training school Trysail (Falmouth) and Falmouth School of Sailing to offer both theory and practical Dinghy, Keelboat, yacht and motorboat based courses from Day Skipper through to Yachtmaster Ocean. Our courses range from half day taster sessions through to intensive 2-5 day courses for both youths and adults. We are equipped with a range powerboats. We offer other specialist courses in VHF/GMDSS, Sea Survival, HSE first aid one and three day and more. We are happy to tailor the courses to cater for your needs. Due to the milder winter climates of Cornwall we are able to offer courses all year round. Falmouth Powerboat School’s instructors and skippers; are carefully chosen for their relaxed, enthusiastic but professional approach, to the way they pass on their skills and experiences in the courses that we offer. All Skipper and instructors are all qualified by the RYA or MCA and hold an up to date CRB Check Falmouth Powerboat School is located at the Falmouth Watersports Association next to Cornwall’s National Maritime Museum.
