Whitgift Film Theatre opened in September 1972. Originally art house films were shown along with a members club and also educational films were shown during the daytime to local schools. Later more commercial films were shown and proved to be a big success with the public. We now show a great selection of films to appeal to the widest possible audience. This year (2012) we will celebrate our 40th anniversary.
