Ellie Dickins Shoes opened in 1997 after Ellie struggled for years to find shoes to fit her size 10 feet. Having size 9 feet at the age of eleven, Ellie was always disappointed by the lack of style, range and fittings that were available on the high street. If she was offered a shoes, it was often old-fashioned, and the style that was too old, even for a grand-mother to wear!
Struggling through school with boys’ shoes, then finding a limited range that the British Shoe Corporation chain shops, the crux came when Ellie was getting married. It was at this point that Ellie decided to fill the void in the market for stylish, comfortable shoes in larger sizes incorporating a range of width fittings. After 6 months of trading, Ellie extended the range of sizes from a size 1 to a size 12, including the mid sizes.
Ellie Dickins Shoes offers a wide range of styles in UK sizes 1 to 12, and incorporating width fittings from AA (narrow) to EE (wide). Ellie Dickins Shoes offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise, drawn from personal experience and through qualification through the only recognised shoe-fitting course The Society of Shoe Fitters. All the staff are fully qualified, and have expert knowledge of the stock, to ensure the most efficient service.
