Castlerigg Farm is in a particular beautiful part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing. With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick town is aprox 25 minute walk down through the woods or a 5 minute drive by car. We are a family site, catering for families and couples, not suitable for noise. The Keswick Boot Company is a small local business in the beautifully scenic town of Keswick ran by us, Alex and Kerrie Charlton. We aim to give our customers a choice of well established brands such as Hunter, Aku and The North Face and also relatively less well known brands to the UK such as Vasque, Simple and Helly Hansen footwear, making us just that little bit different. Being a small independent company gives us the freedom to choose only brands and styles we have one hundred percent confidence in, meaning we love what we sell and that shows in our customer service and the technical knowledge we have on our products.

Appletree Cottage and The Nuthatch are warm and dog friendly self catering cottages situated 2 1/2 miles from Keswick at the foot of Skiddaw and Dodd Wood. Both accommodating up to four people with comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, well equipped kitchens and sitting areas. Dogs are more than welcome and free of charge. Both cottages are enclosed within their own paling fences allowing dogs freedom and safety. Dog beds, bowls, blankets, toys and a free bag of treats are provided. There are walks from the doorstep for you and your dogs to explore. The front of Appletree Cottage has a small grassed area with picnic table and fantastic views over to Grizedale Pike, Catbells, Robinson and Causey Pike. There is a selection of DVD's, books, maps and free wireless internet available.
