"XYZ" Baby Signing Classes
XYZ Baby signing classes is a basic signing class for babies and toddlers (aged 6 months to 2 years approximately). There is a selection of country / easy listening songs which can be sung and signed along with. These are mixed in with well known nursery rhymes, some are for signing with and some just for the fun factor. Every other week a book will be read with prominent signs on each page being signed.
We sit in a circle on fancy materials decorating the floor, with cushions and soft toys. The babies / toddlers will have musical instruments, soft toys and puppets to play with while the parents/carers learn the signs.
The adults will be learning the signs at the class and will need to use them at home with the children. It is hard work getting babies to sign, but very rewarding when they do that first sign. The children will be entertained in the class and playing while watching us singing and signing.
This is a fun interactive class for babies and toddlers, allowing them and their parent/carer to communicate using sign language. The class involves basic songs incorporating sign language with the use of music and puppets to encourage our babies and toddlers to sign along side developing their language skills.
